Stand Out from The Affiliate Marketing Pack

In previous hubs, I have discussed the importance of taking any products or services you choose to sell from your website for a test drive to make sure that they are quality products, as well as the need to choose products that offer strong commissions. Now that you have done your research and chosen the products you want to sell, how can you stand out from the pack of other affiliate marketers selling the same products (because chances are if you have chosen quality products to sell, then other people are selling them, too)?

Well, if you have your own website for promoting the product(s) that you are marketing, you may want to consider offering free reports or ebooks from your site. When you provide something of value, people tend to remember that, and even if they don’t buy something on the first visit, they may buy something on the second. This is one great, time tested and proven way to attract buying visitors to your website.

Of course, if you do create such e-books and reports for your website, you will want these reports to function as little “salespeople” for you. Include testimonials and product reviews within the e-books touting the positive aspects of the products you are promoting as an affiliate marketer.

Again, as I have mentioned in other hubs, don’t be smarmy and pushy in your tone or approach, as that kind of overly aggressive sales pitch turns off a lot of potential buyers. It is much more powerful to take a “just the facts” approach in your sales pitch. If you have a good product on your hands, in many ways it will “sell itself” and you don’t have to push too hard to sell it. Simply state why it works, why it does what it is purported to do, and why it does what it does so well.

If you have testimonials that you have permission to use in your free reports, sprinkle the testimonials throughout the ebook (or free report) rather than piling them all in at once in the beginning or at the end of the text. This way, the testimonials can enhance and support the facts that you are presenting throughout the report.  Standing out from the pack of your fellow affiliate marketers will help you succeed in the competitive world of affiliate marketing. After all, more and more people are becoming involved in Internet Mmarketing every single day and you need to be able to distinguish yourself from the rest of them in order to turn a profit.
